In February of 2007, Dodge debuted the 2008 Challenger SRT8 simultaneously at both the Philadelphia and Chicago Auto Shows. The entire 2008 US release was comprised of just 6400 SRT8 numbered cars which all came equipped with the 5 speed automatic Slapstick transmission, 6.1 liter Hemi engine and ESP rear differential.
Ordered on January 9th of 2008 this Hemi Orange Dodge Challenger is number 5833 of 6400 produced. The car was built at the Brampton Plant and delivered for sale at Lucas-Smith Dodge in St. Louis, Missouri. The car retains all of its original paperwork including: window sticker, Chrysler manifest, order sheet, Chrysler Motors LLC invoice, build sheet and all original interior tags.
The Challenger is equipped with the $950.00 sunroof option and the $890.00 GPS Navigation system. All other options are standard per the 2008 SRT8 Specs. In addition to these options, the car also has the MOPAR performance air intake, and Guard kit. In place of the old shifter, sits totally trick custom pistol grip shifter. Wowza!
The vehicle has been garage kept since new and has never been washed or seen rain. Lots of wax and a few cars shows later and the Challenger has just over 800 miles since she rolled off the showroom floor. To say that the car is obsessively kept would be an understatement. To infer that family members may have been systematically ignored during ownership of this vehicle, is probably not far off. Simply put, the car is an absolutely immaculate specimen. Irrespective of mileage, the car has had oil changes every 3 months performed at the dealership. Excessive? Maybe. Loving? But of course.
