Built on December 27th, 1967, this 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible is finished in stand out Candyapple Red over a Dark Red Crinkle vinyl interior. The car came equipped from the factory with the 289 2bbl engine, C4 Automatic transmission and 3.50 conventional rear end.
After having been driven just 80,000 miles, the Mustang was given a loving restoration by what was only its 3rd owner. At the time of the restoration, the Mustang retained its original engine, transmission and rear end. The car was a very solid example, needing just a few minor metal repairs to bring it back into top condition. The lower rear quarters were replaced and a small area of the floor under the drivers feet received a replacement panel. Compared to many old Mustangs from this era that require over 75% new metal to get them back on the road, this Mustang was a wonderful survivor. The car has been refinished with two stage Candyapple Red paint and all new chrome. The original factory window trim has been polished and the stainless rocker panels are brand new. All of the soft cosmetics have been replaced including all of the interior parts, and a new white soft top.
The suspension, steering and brake components have all been rebuilt and the car is very easy to cruise. The Mustang has power steering, manual drum brakes and modern radial tires. It is at home on the highway all day long and cruises comfortably with its 3.50 final drive ratio.
For the Mustang enthusiast looking for a timeless companion for the open road, this ’68 convertible has your name on it.
