Finished in green over a tan interior, this 1949 GMC 150 is the recipient of a frame-off restoration. The GMC is smooth running, nice driving, and has timeless classic lines. We have receipts from when the restoration was completed for every new part used in the job.
The restoration was commissioned by the family of the original Tennessee owner who reports that the 228 CI engine has been with the truck since new. During the restoration, the drivetrain was rebuilt from front to rear and the truck starts right up and falls into a smooth, straight-six idle. The 4-speed shifts smoothly down the road and the truck rides nicely on a restored suspension system.
The frame was media blasted and refinished in the correct black color and the body was stripped down to bare metal in preparation for the re-finish work. All plating was done by Advanced Plating in Tennessee(best in the business) and the triple plating looks incredible up against the classy green finish. Since the body was stripped bare from the chassis, every single gasket and rubber piece on the truck was replaced. All the glass is also new.
If you are looking for a restored old truck that would look the part in any collection, this GMC is ready for your garage.
