The 1946 Chevrolet pickup had a complete frame-off restoration that was completed 5 years ago. Post restoration, it has been stored in a climate-controlled facility, only occasionally driven, and the truck has remounted excellent condition. It’s a stunning OE build from top to bottom and would make a wonderful addition to any collection of classic cars or trucks.
During the restoration, the cab was sandblasted, dipped, and has all-new bodywork and beautiful paint. You’ll find new wood in the bed with new stainless strips, and new bed sheet metal all the way around. The frame of the truck was sandblasted and has been repainted and detailed to the nines. During reassembly of the chassis, all new suspension and brake parts were used throughout, and the drive quality is great for a 1946. All of the glass is new on the truck as is all of the chrome work.
Inside the impeccably detailed engine compartment sits a correct and rebuilt engine. The finishes in the engine compartment are as nice as you’ll find on the exterior and undercarriage. The cooling system has been restored and the truck has a rebuilt carburetor, new gas tank, and all new fuel lines. The exhaust system is new from front to rear, and the exhaust manifold was ceramic coated to keep it looking new.
