This 1966 Chevy C10 is the recent recipient of a restoration and makes for a killer driver!
The entire frame of the truck was stripped, sanded, and repainted from front to rear. While the body and bed were off the frame, the suspension was completely rebuilt from front to back. The front has 3” drop springs and the rear uses 5” drop springs and a c-notch to get the ride height looking nice and low. Upfront the truck has new ball joints, new control arms, new tie rods, and brand new CPP shocks all the way around. The steering box is also new, as is the Pitman arm. The truck has front discs, and rear drum brakes, and a new CPP master cylinder. The truck handles and brakes very well and feels as good on the side roads as it does out on the highway.
The engine is a rebuilt 350, 4-bolt main block that was bored to 355 CI. It uses an Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley carburetor, Lunani cam, Promaxx aluminum heads. The transmission is a 700 R4 overdrive transmission and the rear end is a 10 bolt with 3.73 Posi gears. Keeping things cool is a 3-core aluminum radiator, and the truck uses an HEI distributor. The C10 exhales through a set of ceramic coated headers and a dual exhaust system. The engine runs nice and cool while making great cruiser power.
The Chevy has all new glass rubber seals, new chrome bumpers, and a new chrome grill as well. The bed is wood is a new Oak kit and was finished in polyurethane. All of the bed hardware is stainless, and the tailgate latches have been replaced as well. The interior features new carpeting, new paint, a new seat cover, and all new wiring.
