This superbly restored 1966 Ford Mustang GT convertible is elegantly finished in factory T-code correct Red with handsome custom ordered two-tone red and parchment Pony interior and white convertible top and features: rebuilt and Rare A code 289cid 225hp 4 barrel V8, C-4 automatic transmission, full length center console, GT option gauges, Fog Lights, Trumpet exhaust, updated factory style radio, bucket seats, Pony interior, Magnum wheels, and power convertible top.
With GTs accounting for a mere 3 or 4% of total Mustang production these classics Fords are exceptionally rare. This special example retains an original and restored Autolite 4100 4 barrel carburetor, GT option front disc brakes, heavy duty springs, heavy duty front sway bar, and special ratio steering box. In addition to the high level of restoration, recent mechanical maintenance includes a complete brake system rebuild in March of 2008 including, new calipers, rotors, brake lines, hoses, rear drums, rear wheel cylinders, and new master cylinder.
