This show quality 1965 Chevy Nova mild custom was built using a solid Black Plate California car. The builder treated the car to a full rotisserie restoration where the car was taken down to bare metal and straightened before the custom two-tone paint job was applied. Both the undercarriage and the engine compartment are finished in the same Cortez silver which really set off the look of the Chevy. The painter even ran the eye-catching red pin stripe inside the door jams. The car has great details everywhere you look. The colors on the Nova flow cohesively using the custom interior to mirror the two tone exterior and the nearly perfect color match that was achieved with the wheels. The Nova was finished with several nice layered and sanded coats of clear which give the paint a deep and flat show car look.
The drive train, comprised of a 4 bolt main 350 CI motor, Power Glide transmission and 10 bolt rear, was totally rebuilt prior to reinstallation. The engine flows nicely through a set of headers, back through dual exhaust and has a big fat sound. Cooling is courtesy of a brand new radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric fan. Hauling this custom to a stop are 4 wheel power brakes and both new suspension components and modern performance tires give this custom a smooth tight ride.
This tastefully built, drivable show car won’t last for long—secure it for yourself before you miss out and have to build your own for twice the money.
