This 1955 Chevy Bel Air has been given a white glove rotisserie restoration treatment – done from top to bottom without a stone left unturned or upgraded in some way.
Beginning where any good restoration should, this car was stripped down to bare metal and the body work was started. The panels were straightened, gapped, and blocked to prep the body for an awesome paint job. The Turquoise and White paint is base/clear and has been wet sanded to remove any orange peel present after the clear coat was applied. The paint has a small amount of pearl it in and looks absolutely incredible in the sun. The frame was removed from the car, sand blasted and then powder coated to provide a lasting tough finish for the road. The rest of the undercarriage has been coated in durable bed liner material that will not chip or scratch. All of the chrome and stainless has either been completely restored or replaced from front to back and all new hardware was used when reassembling the Chevy. To say that the finish is nice would be an understatement and the expletives needed to really get the point across probably should not be printed in this form of media.
The brakes and suspension are completely redone and are new in every way from front to rear. The rear of the car features relocated springs and the chassis has a four wheel disk brake kit from CPP. The car rides on 2" dropped spindles creating a mildly aggressive stance and tucking the Foose wheels nicely into the front and rear quarter panels. All of the lines, hoses, tie rods, springs, shocks etc, bushings are fresh and the car glides down the road with a silent grace, well, except for the sound of the motor.
Power comes from a sweet little 383 stroker built with a 4-bolt main block with all new parts from top to bottom. The motor has an Eagle rotating assembly, Comp Muther Thumper cam, Edelbrock heads, Dual Quad Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock carbs. This puppy is a runner and put down 396 HP and 457 ft lbs of torque on the dyno. On the front of the motor sits a very trick Vintage Air serpentine belt system. The Bel Air has ceramic coated headers, an aluminized exhaust and a set of sweet sounding Flow Master mufflers. The transmission is a 700R4 overdrive unit that has been completely gone through and the rear is a rebuilt factory posi unit.
The Bel Air drives out really nice and will win you trophies and also get you where you are going in style. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to own this awesome car!
