Pro-Touring cars are popular right now (and rightfully so) and they are here to stay! A large number of manufacturers are producing high quality performance parts for classic cars that have stunning good looks, but are starting to fall short in the performance segment.

This 1967 Chevy Nova is a full rotisserie restoration that used all the best available performance parts to create and awesome looking and even better driving performance Muscle Car.

The power plant for the Chevrolet is a 400 CI small block bored .30 over that has 10:1 compression and was built to run on pump gas. It has roller rockers, a roller cam and roller lifters. The carb is a Holley 750 mated with an Edelbrock Air Gap intake. Providing a big spark is an MSD ignition unit. The motor produces big power tire burning power and is cooled by a large Be Cool radiator with a Black Magic 3300 cfm electric fan.

The transmission is a built by Bowtie Overdrives, one of the industry leaders for GM performance overdrive transmissions. The unit is their stage 3, 700r4 that is rated for over 750 HP. It uses a 2200 stall converter and is equipped with a separate transmission cooler with its own electric fan. The rear end is a Moser 12-bolt housing with 3.73 posi gears. This is a complete Moser-built housing with the eliminated c-clips and upgraded spline setup.

The suspension is Chris Alston Chassis Works from front to rear. The front subframe was removed and in its place sits a new Chassis Works subframe with rack and pinion, tubular upper and lower control arms, and QA1 coil over shocks. The front suspension features much improved geometry, precise steering feel, excellent handling characteristics and is fully adjustable. The rear suspension uses a triangulated 4-link set up. It is extremely stable and predictable under hard acceleration and uses adjustable QA1 coil over shock as seen on the front of the car.

Bringing the Nova to a halt is a four wheel Wilwood setup using a polished SSBC aluminum master cylinder. The brakes are equipped with all stainless steel lines and even have a trick line lock setup installed. They are powerful and have great feel throughout the range. The wheels are Billet Specialties Highboys. Using 18"x9" in the rear and 17"x8" in the front gives the car an aggressive stance and the B.F. Goodrich KDW2 tires are extra sticky.

The interior features custom leather work including the front seats, rear seats, center console, and rear package tray. Creature comforts include Vintage AC running on a front-runner kit which blows frost cold air through a custom dash vent configuration. The Nova has a custom stereo system consisting of a Pioneer head unit, two Kicker amps, two 10" subwoofers, four 5" mid range speakers and four kicker tweeters. The gauges have been converted over to a completely digital Dakota dash set up.

For the Chevy enthusiast looking for an awesome Pro-Touring Nova in the best year, this ’67 is one hot ride.
