Finished in very rare and desirable Silver Frost over a Red interior, this 1966 looks incredible with the top up and is an absolute stunner with the top down and the silver/red color combination showing.
The Mustang restoration was commissioned by a lifelong Mustang Club of America member and has won many trophies at Mustang shows since the restoration was completed. During the restoration, the car was stripped down to bare metal and completely rebuilt from the ground up from front to rear. The car features all new chrome work, a hand finished two stage paint job, and refinished original stainless trim. The Mustang now rides on a set of Coker Classic Redline tires fitted on brand new Magnum 500 wheels. The interior and accompanying soft parts are new as well including the seats, crash pad, door panels, convertible top and tonneau cover.
Open up the hood to reveal a completely rebuilt 289 engine that has been reassembled and detailed to look exactly the way the car would have looked right off the showroom floor when it was new. The engine compartment features all correct lines, FoMoCo hoses, and even sports a reproduction Autolite battery. All of the finishes are correct per the original Ford specs and the restorer even has all the correct decals and inspection stamps in place. The transmission and rear end have also been rebuilt and compliment the smooth running engine.
From a driving standpoint, the Mustang starts right up and falls into a smooth idle. The car is easy to drive and has the reliability to cruise mile after carefree mile. It’s great on on the highway at 70 MPH and nimble on the back roads. Whether you are a lifelong Mustang enthusiast, or a looking for the perfect car for an entry point into the hobby, this Mustang has it going on.
