On March 9th 1964 Lee Iacocca made himself an eternal place in American automotive history with the release of a car which would reshape the design and performance expectations for all automobiles sold within the North American market within the next forty years—the Ford Mustang.

Unlike many its contemporaries, the Mustang, named after the famous World War II fighter plane, was not a large sedan with a big block motor shoe-horned in as an after thought, but rather a purpose built performance coupe with its sights set on creating a new niche within the automotive sphere.

For 1965 the legendary Carroll Shelby created 36 racing variants of the already great Mustang fastback, which became the venerable and extremely valuable GT350.

This well cared for Pearl White with Blue Lemans stripes and black interior 1965 GT350 clone has been maintained and tuned by a single owner for the last thirty years. This high-performance Mustang features:

  • 289 V8
  • Top-Loader manual transmission
  • Paxton custom oil cooled super charger
  • Performance under-drive pulleys
  • Cobra cast aluminum 8 quart pan
  • Edelbrock high flow fuel pump
  • Edelbrock RPM air gap intake
  • Air Flow Research heads
  • Mallory ignition
  • Adjustable brake proportioning valve
  • Custom long tube headers
  • Tied sub-frame
  • Aluminum DynoTech Motorsports drive shaft
  • Shatter-proof NHRA bell housing
  • Polyurethane motor mounts
  • Cal Track suspension bars
  • Ford 9″ rear end

…and much more.

This exceptionally outfitted 1965 GT350 Fastback Tribute represents a remarkable opportunity for the serious performance enthusiast or Mustang collector to own a truly drivable and enjoyable classic, for a fraction of the $200K price of entry for one of the original 36, and which nevertheless, is a car with its own appreciation curve.

This very special, one of a kind GT350 tribute will not remain available for long!
