Triumph TR4A

SOLD
  • Year: 1968
  • Make: Triumph
  • Model: TR4A

Produced between 1965 and 1968, the Triumph TR4A was a retooled version of the TR4, featuring most notably, a newer and more modern chassis, with “IRS” models also fitted with independent rear suspension. The new suspension configuration demonstrated itself fairly decisively in 1966 with Triumph taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in class in the 12 hours of Sebring.

This very nicely cared for Royal Blue with blue interior, and black convertible top 1968 Triumph TR4A IRS model, features: 2,138cc inline 4 cylinder engine, 4-speed synchromesh gear box, rack and pinion steering, wire knock-off wheels, roll up windows, teak wood dash, and all of the gentlemanly English sensibility with which this car comes standard.

For those on the look out for a well dressed and solid example of one of these rare and peculiarly attractive English sports cars (from a time when England still offered sports cars), this well turned out roadster with only 29K on rebuilt engine and transmission, new rack and pinion, spinners, and fuel tank liner, has been well tended to and provides for a rare opportunity to acquire what is becoming an equally rare car.

One of the last of the little English giants! This is a car well chosen for the true enthusiast or collector-seize upon a fine example of this classic before prices go the way of the TR3!
