This Outlaw body 1933 Ford 3 Window coupe is a gorgeous build constructed with all of the finest available hot rod parts and accessories. The fit and finish on the Coupe is full show quality everywhere you look. The lines are nice, tight and perfectly gapped and the paint has been wet sanded to perfection. Open the hood and the engine color is matched to the Sahara Beige exterior of the coupe and the undercarriage is a jewel with lots of chrome touches, a custom fitted and polished floor pan and more body color paint. The steel, 3 piece hood has removable sides and the builder used a very nice Carolina Custom hood hinge kit with sturdy and stylish hardware. The front grill is a Jim Wrench piece and the Coupe rides on Billet Specialties wheels with Yokohama tires.
The Ford is a show winner the way it sits but chassis and suspension components make the Ford a very usable street rod. The Outlaw body sits on a full TPI chassis with an independent, chrome rack and pinion front-end that has stainless lower control arms and painted upper control arms. The front sway bar and rear sway bars are both chrome TCI pieces and the coupe has coil over shocks on all four corners. The rear end is a narrowed 9" unit with 3.55 gears that was painted to match the body, and the rear suspension is a TCI parallel 4-bar set up. The power brakes have all stainless lines with 11" front discs and rear drums.
The Coupe is powered by the reliable and quick Corvette LT-1 hooked up to a 700R4 transmission. Cooling is courtesy of a Walker Cobra radiator with a 16" fan and fuel comes from a 22 Gallon stainless gas tank mounted under the trunk. The coupe is a smooth running and very reliable hot rod that be cruised down the highway in total comfort.
Open the suicide doors and the interior is a striking combination of leather and tweed. The doors have safety locks that prevent against the accidental opening of the doors during driving and the power windows and be raised and lowered either with the Dakota Digital key fob, or with the controls on the roof of the car. Speaking of Dakota Digital, that’s who built the super clean looking dash. The steering column is tilt Flaming River piece finished in chrome with column mounted shifter. Let’s not forget the creature comforts starting with the nicely finished seats, Vintage AC, and AM/FM radio with CD.
