First introduced at the 1951 Paris Exhibition Auto Show, the Mercedes Benz W186 300 Series Sedan was an instant success due to its undeniable appeal to State governments, celebrity figures, and wealthy business men. These luxurious and technologically advanced motorcars were the top of the line model during the 1951-1962 production period and their initial high price and low production numbers make them a very rare find today. The term Adenaeur as applied to the 300 series sedan is linked to Dr. Konrad Adenauer, the Chancellor of Germany, who used 6 of these 300 models during his tenure.

This 1956 300c is a California "barn find" that recently underwent a full restoration. The car is equipped the x-frame chassis, 6 cylinder overhead valve carbureted engine, central lubrication system, swing axle, Becker Mexico radio, 3-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission and rear load leveler.

The beautifully appointed interior features brand new luxurious leather, burled wood dash and door appointments, a lovely wool headliner, exquisite chrome and stainless hand controls and wing windows. All the windows appear to be original Sekurit glass, and for extra privacy, hand stitched curtains adorn the side windows. The gorgeous body is finished in an elegant Navy Blue accented with numerous chrome pieces. The car is very straight and has excellent door gaps and panel fit.

For the Mercedes Benz collector, this is the opportunity to own one of very few examples in the country if the not the world.
