This 1967 GTX was built using a pristine, accident and rust free body into the stunner of a show car that it is today. Fine details and high build quality are hiding around every corner, and the car just gets better and better the harder you look. The level of detail in the engine compartment, undercarriage, interior and body is incredible and any enthusiast would be hard fetched to find a comparable car on the market.
The body and floors were blasted down to bare metal and the floors were coated in POR 15. The front and rear fender wells were undercoated in black for durability, the torque boxed have been welded on and the spring hangers and frame rail connectors are both welded in. Finally, the GTX was finished in gorgeous, slick red paint. The car exhibits excellent, show quality body work and very nice lines and gapping.
In order to enhance the ride quality, the front end of the GTX was replaced with a Reiley Motorsports clip with power rack and pinion, coil over shocks and tubular A arms. The rear end is a Moser Dana 60 w 3:73 gears and posi traction. The rear springs are HD Direct Connection and are dampened with Edelbrock shocks w/ Competion Engineering traction bars. The car hooks up very nicely out of the hole and goes dead-on straight.
Stopping the MOPAR beast is a set of Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes with red powder coated calipers. All of the brake lines are either braided or stainless and a Classic Performance Products master cylinder provides serious pressure to the brake pistons. The wheels are special order American Racing Torque Thrust clad in grippy Eagle RSA tires.
The power plant is an Indy Cylinder Head 477 CI aluminum head Hemi with 576 HP and 565 ft. lbs of torque. This smooth running monster puts our some serious, ground shaking horsepower. The engine hooks up to a TCI Super Street Fighter which is built for the power and provides nice, crisp shifts. Keeping everything cool is a Be Cool radiator with electric fans designed to handle up to 700 HP. Exhaust flows out through a set of headers into a 3" exhaust systems that utilizes the original style exhaust tips.
The interior is very tastefully appointed and was restored using all Legendary seat covers and panels. The dash face is now aluminum and has been fitted with Autometer gauges. The interior flows very well and everything is brand new.
The car rides and drives like a nicely refined Muscle car with some serious HP! It performs very well in summer and is not phased by stop and go traffic in the heat. The GTX is streetable, practical, powerful and will surely crush competitors at the big shows.
