Finished in stunning Platinum over a beautifully restored interior, this 1974 MGB GT has received a complete nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration. This lifelong Texas car spent its days in the dry Southern climate until 2 years ago when it was stripped down to bare metal and rebuilt from the ground up.
The car features a completely rebuilt engine, transmission and rear end, and she runs like a top. The engine compartment is detailed out to the nines and shows off the peppy little four banger amidst a sea of silver paint. All of the suspension and brake components components have been detailed, rebushed and reassembled, and the chrome knock off wheels are a nice touch.
The car is tight and feels competent at speed on the highway as it does through the twisties. The transmission notches tightly into the gears and the synchronization in excellent. The motor is crisp and responsive needing about 5 minutes to feel completely warmed up and ready to play. From a cold start, just pull the choke, she idles away, and you drive off.
The interior features restored leather seats, carpeting headliner etc.. The glass, trim, and chrome are all in great condition and the panels are straight and fit well. The paint is a two stage base clear with a nice wet-sanded finish and nicely buffed clear. The undercarriage is finished in a clean and durable matte black.
This little British coupe may be the perfect additional to your collection and is one sweet little ride.
