This 1968 Chevy Camaro Convertible is the recent recipient of a complete frame off restoration with just 300 test miles on the build. The Chevy was a one owner car from Indiana that was still on the original title when we recently acquired it. The Camaro is an amazing cruiser built with mainly stock and mildly upgraded stock components that give it a nice, tight feel while keeping reliability in mind. Whether you are looking for a fun show car, or an amazing cruiser, this completely restored car will get you on the road without the hassle of having to deal with the time and money involved in a restoration project.

Since the car was stripped down to a bare metal shell and then reassembled from the ground up, you get a lot more than a paint job and a shiny new interior. After the Camaro was taken apart, it received new rear quarters as the bottoms had some rust behind the rear wheels. With a solid body to work with, the body work began and the Chevy received a fresh coat of Corvette Bronze paint and with a flashy hand-rubbed clear coat. All of the chrome is new and the original stainless has been polished out. All of the rubber and trim is also new as of the restoration as are all of the window felts and the convertible top.

The interior features all new soft parts including the seats, door panels, quarter panels, dash pad, and A pillar covers. The seats also received new foam and the springs were repaired as needed. All of the new hard parts such as the window cranks, door handles, select dash pieces.

The suspension and brake system has been rebuilt from front to rear and has just over 300 miles on it. The suspension has all new shocks, tie rods, ball joints, struts and springs. The steering box has been rebuilt and is nice and tight. The brakes feature rebuilt calipers up front with new pads and the rear drums have been turned and have new shoes.

The engine in the car is the matching numbers 327 that the car came original equipped with. It benefits from an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carburetor, and has been bored .30 over. The engine exhales through a set of ceramic coated Hooker headers and has a nice sounding performance exhaust system. The transmission is a rebuilt Muncie 4 speed that replaced the original 3-speed base equipment transmission that Camaro was originally equipped with.

For the Chevy enthusiast looking for an easy to drive classic Chevrolet, this Camaro is beautifully restored and ready for the road.
