This wonderfully restored 1964 1/2 early production Mustang convertible is finished in stunning Black with faultless Blue Crinkle interior and black convertible top. The car was the recent recipient of a complete rotisserie restoration and features excellent, and extremely straight bodywork with show quality black paint. Its hand rubbed rubbed finish has great depth and exceptional sheen. All chrome and trim has been replaced or refinished during the restoration giving it that showcar presence. The interior had been replaced from front to rear and shows as new.
The 260 engine, 3 speed transmission and rear end have all been rebuilt. They use stock components and exhibit reliability from the first turn of the key. The car falls into an easy fast idle which drops down upon warm up into a very smooth burbling idle. The engine runs strong, and pulls nicely into the higher RPM range. The motor compartment is perfectly detailed and appears in stock-show condition.The engine accents are the correct blue for the early production Mustang, and the block is finished in the correct black.
The undercarriage is immaculate and features a fully rebuilt suspension and brake system. The car rolls on modern radial tires and in combination with the suspension and brakes, provides a terrific cruising platform.
