Although Ford had dominated the auto market with the release of the Model T, by the early 1920’s, other manufacturers had begun to catch up and surpass Ford in many areas of manufacturing and design. Enter the Model A with its inline l-head four-cylinder engine, three-speed manual transmission, 4 wheel drum brakes, and modern controls that drivers had become more accustomed to per the offers of other manufacturers.

In terms of sheer production numbers that are still incredible to think about today, by February of 1929, one million Model A’s had been sold and by July, two million! By the time that sales hit 3 million in March of 1930 there were nine different body styles available for purchase.

This fully restored 1928 Ford Model A Business coupe is the recipient of a 5 year old restoration that is fully sorted and very drivable. The business coupe was a mid-year addition to Ford’s Model A line in 1928. A basic, economical car, it was first offered with blind rear quarters and a limited number of color and interior options.

The Ford features a drivetrain that has been completely rebuilt from front to rear.

After the restoration, the car was regularly driven on nice days by its last owner/enthusiast and was serviced as needed by Classic Car Studio. In our opinion, for the Model A enthusiast, you may not find a more reliable Model A that can be used for touring purposes and real driving enjoyment.
