This 1964 1/2 Mustang Convertible is finished in Sunlight Yellow over a Black Vinyl standard interior. The car was built on April 28th of 1964 and was originally shipped to Kansas City for sale. The Mustang was factory equipped with the D-code 289 4v engine with the C4 transmission and 3.00:1 rear end. Restoration work was completed in 2006 and the Ford was shown extensively with the AACA and MCA until 2011. In 2011, it received the MCA Concourse Gold award.
During the restoration, the car was stripped down to bare metal and rebuilt from the ground up. It features a new base/clear paint job, re-finished trim, new chrome and excellent condition original glass. The interior was also restored is comes equipped with the Rallye Pack Gauge cluster, and center console.
Open the hood to reveal the original 289 4v. The engine compartment features all correct lines, FoMoCo hoses, and even sports a reproduction Autolite battery. All of the finishes are correct per the original Ford specs and the restorer even has all the correct decals and inspection stamps in place. The transmission and rear end have also been rebuilt and compliment the smooth running engine.
Just turn the key, pump the gas once and the car fires up and is ready to roll. This Mustang is a great cruiser and a cinch to drive with the power steering and power brake options.
