Original offered for sale in September of 1966, the new 1967 F-Body Chevrolet Camaro was a huge hit right off the showroom floor. Experiencing great sales during the first release year, GM sold over 220,000 Camaros in 1967.
Purchased on July 10th, 1967 at Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale, Illinois, this 1967 Chevy Camaro was a 1 owner car up until a year ago. The Camaro always remained a nice driving vehicle and was treated to a sympathetic restoration a few years ago by the children of the original owner. The SS options were added during the restoration, and the colors are original per the cowl tag. The car still retains the original Broadcast sheet, Protecto-Plate and some original service receipts from the selling dealer.
During the restoration of the car, the exterior received a nice new two stage paint job. The chrome has been replaced with new reproduction parts and all of the stainless is original to the car. The glass on the Camaro is in good original condition, and the rubber trim on the car has been replaced. The undercarriage is finished in satin black, the trunk in the proper GM splatter paint, and the engine compartment has been correctly detailed per original specification.
The Camaro retains the engine and transmission it was born with, evidenced by the the stamping on the motor matching the code on the Protecto-Plate. The car utilizes all stock components which keeps the reliability high, so you can cruise at ease. For the discriminating Chevy enthusiast looking for an investment in a great entry-level first generation Camaro, this 1967 327 makes it happen!
