This 1968 Chevy Camaro is a rust free California car with all original rock solid panels. The car is the recent recipient of a complete rotisserie restoration and has been put back into excellent mechanical and stellar cosmetic condition. The undercarriage and engine compartment on the Camaro are as nice as the top and she is ready to drive or show.
The engine on the Camaro is a LT4 crate engine with a GM hot cam. These motors made a conservative 330 HP in the 1994 Vette, but with all the emissions gear removed, running a hotter cam and exhaust system with headers Flowmaster mufflers, the HP is much closer to 400. This sweet little motor hums along nicely and puts down the power at will. The transmission is a Fairbanks Turbo 350 and shifts crisply through the gears. Out back is a built 12-bolt unit with 3.30 Posi gears. The engine compartment is extremely clean, expertly detailed and show ready all day long.
Due to its original body, the panel the gaps on the Camaro are excellent. The body was expertly blocked prior to paint and the car is very straight down the sides. The paint is a base/clear application and has been color sanded, and polished. All the trim and chrome work is new and the undercarriage has the same quality paint as the top of the car. The black suspension components including the front subframe have been undercoated in shiny black.
The suspension and brake system feature all new parts from front to rear. The brake are a CPP, front disc setup with dual master and vacuum booster, and all of the lines and hoses are new. The suspension features stock powdercoated control arms with all new bushings, ball joints, tie rods and a new steering box. The rear end has Cal-Trac traction bars which provide great launch from a dead stop and loads of stability. The Camaro has tight handling and a quiet riding suspension! The car rolls on Chrome Coys with 18" wheels up front and 22" wheels in the rear.
