This 1972 Pontiac Ventura II has been completely restored and finished in the correct Sundance Orange Metallic, over a factory black interior. The car has its original 307 engine and just the right performance upgrades.
The Pontiac has all new base/clear paint finished in the factory correct Sundance Orange Metallic. The trim is refinished original stainless and the glass is good condition original glass. The paint has a nice shine to it and really shows well.
The interior has been completely refinished from front to rear. The original bucket seats have been restored with new foam and new covers and the rear seat received the same treatment. The carpeting has all been replaced and the console of the car has been restored to factory original condition. Also new are the headliner, door panels and rear quarter panels. All of the rubber seals on the car have also been replaced, as have the window felts. The car is equipped with the very rare Factory Sky Roof, which has all new canvas and looks great. Non-factory upgrades include a Stuart Warner gauges, and a modern CD player.
The suspension and brakes have all been rebuilt and the car rides and brakes the way it should. The brakes are power front disc, and making the car even easier to drive is a super smooth power steering system. The car rides on newer BFG Radials and cruises out like a champ.
The Ventura is powered by its original 307 CI V8 engine, which was rebuilt during the restoration. The motor has been upgraded with a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake and a camshaft that offers a little more performance over the factory. The heads were rebuilt and adapted for use with unleaded gas, and the car now features a 700 R4 transmission which features an overdrive gear making it perfect for the highway. The Pontiac comes equipped with factory A/C that has been converted over for use with 134A.
For the Pontiac collector looking for something on the rare side, this Ventura II is as practical as it is fun.
