The Pierre Terblanche designed 999 came equipped with the famous Ducati Desmodromic engine layout creating a linear powerband that pulls as hard from down low in the RPM band as it does in the upper ranges. The high-spec suspension, brake systems and signature trellis frames make the 999s some of the best handling motor cycles available, and the styling is timeless.
The 999R continues with the Ducati tradition offering a production bike featuring many of the same components as their race bikes. In terms of power, handling and weight, the 999R came equipped with the best equipment available at the time of production. The 999R saw an upgraded motor making 150 horsepower, reinforcing the bike’s AMA Superbike status. Materials such as magnesium, carbon fiber and titanium were selected for maximum competitiveness on the track and exclusivity on the street. Brembo brakes and top of the line Ohlins suspension made the bike a nimble handling monster.
The 999R featured here has travelled just 1954 miles since new and is in completely stock form with the exception of the upgraded, and highly desirable Termignoni exhaust system. The bike has been dealer serviced, and comes complete with the original books, factory Ducati cover and two sets of keys.
