This 1967 Ford Mustang convertible is the result of a complete rotisserie restoration. The car was just finished and has only test miles on it at this point. It is finished in classic Candy Apple over a Parchment interior with Parchment top.
During the restoration, the body of the Mustang was stripped down to bare metal prior to body work being performed. The top side has was finished in a base/clear finish that has been properly wet sanded and buffed to a mirror shine. The engine compartment was shot in the proper semi-gloss black finish, and the undercarriage is done in familiar red oxide primer finish. Prior to reinstallation, all of the suspension and brake components received high level detail work in their correct finishes. After this, even the factory inspection marks were applied.
The interior of the car is new from top to bottom and features rebuilt gauges, new seats, new carpeting, new panels and a new dash pad. All of the hard interior parts have been restored, or replaced including the window cranks, door handles, gauge trim, emblems and seat belts. The power top is new as well and the components have been rebuilt for smooth operation. All of the exterior stainless on the car has been restored or replaced. All of the chrome is new, as are the grill, door handles, taillights, wheels and mirrors.
The Mustang is well optioned with power steering, a power top, C4 automatic transmission and a brand new AC system that blows ice cold air. The car is a cinch to drive and has not strayed far from stock, so reliability will be much better than on a highly modified vehicle. The rebuilt 289 rumbles along nicely and puts down nice and reliable power.
For the Mustang collector, or even the vintage car novice, there may be no better starting place than this completely finished Mustang. Its good looks and classic V8 performance will not disappoint.
