This PHS documented 1970 GTO is a mild custom build that was completely rotisserie restored 7 years ago. It’s been properly cared for since, and is a wonderful driving muscle car that can be driven straight to the show.
The engine is a mildly built 1970 dated 455 that provides awesome muscle car power out on the road. Moderating the air and fuel is a Holley carb which flows through an Edelbrock Performer intake. The front runner setup is a Billet Specialties Tru Trac system which drives the A/C compressor, alternator, and power steering pump, while keeping them a tight knit package. The motor exhales through a set of long tube headers which flow into a 2.5” dual exhaust system. Keeping things cool in the hot summer weather is a large capacity aluminum radiator.
This GTO was a complete frame-off restoration that was completely stripped and has great paint and body work. The frame has been media blasted and powdercoated, and all of the suspension components have been restored from front to rear. The paint is a two stage application and has been color sanded and buffed out to a high quality finish. All of the chrome has been redone, and the stainless has been restored as well.
Also new are all the brake lines, fuel lines and brake hoses. The interior features new carpeting, seats, new headliner, new door cards and a new dash.
This Goat is very easy to drive, and a total blast. It’s great out on the highway and cruises at speed with a rock solid, and built 200R4 overdrive transmission. The rebuilt suspension feels firm, but still very comfortable. If you’re on the hunt for a great driving piece of American Muscle to cruise and show this summer, look no further than this stunning 1970 GTO!
