This 1960 Impala is one of the classiest cruisers to grace our showroom in quite some time. Finished in a stunning black paint job over a beautifully finished interior, this stunner is powered by a 348 CI coupled to a 4-speed transmission. There are under 500 miles on frame-off, rotisserie restoration.
The body of the car has excellent fit and an excellent paint finish. The doors, hood, and trunk have a great fit, and the body was sanded very straight prior to starting the paintwork. The x-frame was media blasted and finished in satin black, and the floorboards were blasted clean and have a new paint finish as well. All of the stainless trim on the car has been restored from front to rear and does not have that hokey aftermarket trim look. All of the chrome has been done as well, as has all of the trim on the interior of the car. You will also find all new glass throughout the car, all new rubber trim. It’s just flat-out sharp looking through and through.
The interior was done in vinyl with leather inserts in the seats and has an expertly done headliner and new carpeting. One of the highlights on these cars is the dash and no expense was spared in making this one look good. The gauge surrounds and dash were body worked and wet sanded and buffed after the application of the paint. All of the trim across the front of the dash is new and really pops. Sitting in for the original gauges are a set of Dakota Digital gauges, and under the dash, you’ll find a nice new wiring harness. The steering wheel is completely restored and the column is a tilt unit.
