This 1966 Cobra replica was built by B&B Manufacturing to very high standards. The Cobra has an excellent fit and finish and a very powerful 392CI Windsor powerplant coupled to a 5-speed T5 Super Duty transmission.
The body has hand-laid fiberglass and has an excellent fit and finish and the interior is finished in a classic black look. B&B only used steel floor pans which are welded directly to the frame car creating extra safety and adding an additional 2” of legroom over most other manufacturers. The frame uses 2”x4” rectangular steel with an x-member to eliminate diagonal stress. The bodywork is very straight and the two-stage paint job has been color sanded to eliminate orange peel.
The engine is a 351W stroked to 392 CI. It uses a steel crank with ARP rod bolts and all Clevite bearings. The engine has a Comp Cam hydraulic roller camshaft and roller lifters. The intake and heads are a matched aluminum set from Edelbrock. The carb is a vacuum secondary 750 from Holley and the ignition system has a 6AL and billet distributor from MSD. You will find that the exhaust exits via ceramic headers and side pipes. The engine uses a serpentine conversion out front which turns all new components. The transmission is a new T5 Superduty and the clutch setup is from a late model Mustang.
