Finished in Bright Blue metallic over a blue interior, this 1968 Plymouth GTX was built on November 29, 1967 and sold new at Fulton Motor Company of Salem, Virginia. The car remained in the Roanoke area since purchase new and has had just 3 owners, the first two being family members. After the purchase by the 3rd owner in 2015, a 4 year rotisserie restoration was performed on the GTX. It retains the numbers-matching 440ci V8 and three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. This GTX is offered with a build sheet, a warranty card, partial refurbishment receipts, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.

Magnum 500-style 14″ wheels wear Firestone Sup-R-Belt redline radial tires. Rebuilds of the power steering pump and gearbox are said to have been performed by Power Steering Services of Reeds Spring, Missouri.

The interior was reupholstered in blue with a matching dashboard, carpets, and door panels by Kings Auto Upholstery Inc. of Roanoke. Features include a center console with locking storage bin, a factory AM radio, crank windows, and GTX-branded floor mats. The body received a bare metal refinish with all new bodywork. The car received new front floor boards and a new trunk panel, but was a very solid and complete car at the start of the restoration

A three-spoke steering wheel with a horn ring frames a 150-mph sweep speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for fuel, amperage, and coolant temperature. The gauges were rebuilt, restored and calibrated by D&M Restorations, of Greenville South Carolina which included a rebuild speedometer head, repainted needles, new tachometer movement, and board.
